I never really thought that anything that happened in the Harley Quinn series was really comic book canon, as the stories were so bizarre (not necessarily in a good way) and seemed to exist out of continuity. However, this issue had me fascinated for reasons I can't really explain. Part of it was that I read it when I was 12 - I was already a comic book fan since 6 years, but sleepovers were just starting to become popular for me and my friends. This issue sort of seemed to go along with this idea of a sleepover (though its just a female supervillain only party.) While it held my interest in this way it was completely weird in another. For starters the collection of characters together was not in line with much of what was going on in comics (several characters who would have fought each other on sight and even the Female Furies show up.) Another was the often weird dialogue, like the Body Doubles with their costumes held on seemingly by telekinesis discussing which characters have had breast augmentation surgery. At the time I remember sort of liking the issue, but looking back it seems to be a bit too much of what the 12 year old boys always thought was going on at the sleepovers - pillow fights, spin the bottle and truth or dare and not enough of reality. In the end it is just a silly comic, and not in line with the rest of continuity, but if you can past that, its a fun enough read.
