Was the Green Lantern movie really that bad?

I watched the movie start to finish and like it. Is it because John Stewart is more popular? List your problems below.

Out of curiosity, have you read any Green Lantern comic? I'm not being condescending or anything, I'm just honestly asking.

Because if you have, you'll notice a huge difference in quality. I've tried to be as objective of the film as I can, but I can't since I'm a huge Green Lantern fan. So yes, I thought the film was pretty bad.

The story wasn't really that good, Sinestro did jack-sh*t in the movie, it was too soap-opera-like, Oa was barely in the movie, and freaking Parallax was essentially an evil cloud, as opposed to how it is in the comics:

I like the actor portraying Sinestro

He had the look and the voice.

But everything else was meh IMO

Wish they started of with Atrocitus, and have Hal and Jordan team to stop him or something. Instead of facing Parallax imediately
