Through sheer will power and determination, Hal has established an impressive record of heroism across the galaxy with the help of his fellow Green Lanterns as well as his peers in the Justice League.

    Just read Geoff Johns well written "reboot" of a great franchise character.  One thing that I couldn't quite figure out:
    Why did everyone start confessing their sins to Hal Jordan when he appears to the other Lanterns at the ball game (or whatever they were at)?  That threw me off...

    Hal Jordan was the Spectre.  A spirit of vengence and the hand of God.  Since he was really just a spirit/deity thing, they felt compelled to confess their sins.
