Justin Timberlake As 'Hal Jordan'?!

If your reaction to the title of this article was the same as mine when I had to type it, then we are on the same boat. Apparently, Leavesden Studios has leaked to AintItCool.com that Justin Timberlake recently "suited up" to do a screen test to try out for the part of the live action superhero. By no means does this indicate that Mr. JT will be playing the role of the Green Lantern in the upcoming film. What it does mean, however, is that he very well may have tried out for the role.

I am praying that the role he tried out for was not that of Hal Jordan, but someone else. For some reason, I just don't think I can see him as the Green Lantern, but that's just me. What do you guys think?

He's actually not a bad actor but I lean more toward unknowns playing superheroes

I don't hate the idea. I just wish the person they were trying out for the role were a bit older. More like Christian Bale circa Batman Begins.

I've seen him in acouple of movies and he's actually a really good actor but I don't see him as Hal Jordan....he just seems to young....maybe as Kyle

I like JT and he is not a bad actor at all but I can't see him as Hal. He'll have to gain at least 35lbs to fit the part

Hopefully not Jordan, but I could kinda see him as Guy, but thats still a bit of a stretch.

Most good actors tend to suck in super hero movies. Michel Kiten (I totally misspelled that) sucked in the first Batman and so did George Clooney in the other Batman movie. Alpha Dog was good so this would really be a hit or miss.

Yeeeea didn't JT cry on an episode of Punk'd when they were "repoing" his house HA HA HA HA....So yea he couldn't be Hal ,cause Hal doesn't cry .

Just get Nathan Fillion or Matthew Fox damn it!!! And maybe Ben Browder for Guy Gardner.

Why do you all think Hal should be 12 years old? I feel he needs to ne in his LATE 20s at the youngest. But older is better. For one hting it gives room for Kyle.
There really isnt a young actor who looks tough. Most of these guys look and act like pussies. Matt Fox give me a break If he cant pulloff Racer X how could he do a GL?

He'd be fine as Kyle Rayner, though.

Then again, Hollywood's casting often leaves much to be desired. I mean, they cast white actors to portray 2 Inuit-derived main characters and 1 Asian main character in (Avatar) The Last Airbender.
