With the ability to overcome great fear and harness the power of will, test-pilot Hal Jordan was chosen to be the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 inheriting the ring of the dying alien Green Lantern, Abin Sur. He later on went to creating his own power ring from his own will power. Through sheer will power and determination, Hal has established an impressive record of heroism across the galaxy with the help of his fellow Green Lanterns as well as his peers in the Justice League.
Variety has reported that Warner Bros. is trying to get Martin Campbell to direct the live action Green Lantern. He last directed "Casino Royale." There has been some work done so far, mainly character and location designs. The work of illustrator, Brian Murray has been seen already. They look pretty good.
A script was written by Greg Berlanti with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Guggenheim also mentioned the possibility of cameos, perhaps by Superman. He mentioned being a fan of the easter eggs.
The question is, when would this be complete? When could we expect to see it? What will the story be about? Who will play Hal Jordan? Will Guy Gardner be in it and can they possibly duplicate his hairstyle?
Just Hal. All I'd like to see is Hal. No one else. MO. Casino Royale was an action-packed movie, so I am really excited about the potential with this one if they land the same director. The many imaginative things they could do concerning the GL Ring in terms of FX, it will be a thrill to see. I hope it gets rolling soon. Very soon! Oh..and Sinestro..please throw in Sinestro. No Alan Scott, although he's a great character, it would be too confusing for mainstream audiences. Just Hal...did I mention Just Hal?
Campbell would be an interesting choice. Not who I would've thought they'd try to get. "Casino Royale" and "Goldeneye" were obviously some of the best 007 movies we've had lately. I would be curious to see how he'd turn his action style into a 'space' movie.
I think Martin Campbell is a great choice as director of the Green Lantern the concept Art looks excellent and I think the perfect choice for Hal Jordan would be David Boreanaz and I think a good choice for Guy Gardner would be Seann William Scott. I just hope they do this movie with the same quality of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
I want to see Hal Jordon,John Steward, and Guy Garner together, because Hal Jordon looks too old school in a movie alone without anyother green lanterns. I think Martin Campbell would be perfect for this movie. There has to be cameos in thesenew DC movies otherwise The Justice League movie won't be so good. I mean look at Marvel,They are making camoes and everything,so I gust The Avengers movie would be awsome.

I hope Guggenheim wrote as little of it as possible. This is the same guy that wrote the Rogues as a murderous bunch of drunks and pot heads and had Zoom going back in time, phasing, etc. The man isn't a very good writer to begin with and he's lazy as hell when it comes to doing research. I'd half expect Hal to have a weakness against red if Guggenheim was writing it on his own..
I do like Campell though and I hope they can get him to direct it.
