    With the ability to overcome great fear and harness the power of will, test-pilot Hal Jordan was chosen to be the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 inheriting the ring of the dying alien Green Lantern, Abin Sur. He later on went to creating his own power ring from his own will power. Through sheer will power and determination, Hal has established an impressive record of heroism across the galaxy with the help of his fellow Green Lanterns as well as his peers in the Justice League.

    Does he have any weakness?

    Besides having to recharge his ring does he have any weakness because since emerald twilight onwards there is no yellow weakness.

    He's two dimensional. Look at the other lanterns they're all somewhat interesting: 
     
    Kyle began as an artist and he struggled with the burden of being the last lantern, you saw that struggle you could relate to it. 
     
    John Stewart(depending on origin) was an architect that was gone from Earth so long when he came back he had issues relating to other humans, again even though he was estranged we can all relate to not being to come home again.
     
    Guy's a dick. He deserves to die.
     
    Hal Jordan's persona: I'm an awesome rebel that slaughtered the galactic police. But I'm so awesome they gave a ring back to me when they came back to life!

    The reason his personality isn't amazingly interesting is that he is the perfect green lantern. He can overcome any fear and has a great sense of willpower, more so than any other lantern. As much as I like the rest Kyle doesn't have the traits of a good green lantern but is just good with constructs due to his creativity. If there were to be a corps on a new emotion like creativity Kyle would be perfect

    Kyle has better feats and has shown consistently greater willpower. Not killing everyone is a pretty big testament to that. He also doesn't sleep with underage girls, which Hal has done, and desires to do, multiple times. 
     
    Kyle's a better Green Lantern than Hal has ever been.

    A) That's a retcon
    B) Arisia, 240 or not, had the body and mentality of a thirteen year old who then made the completely irresponsible decision to mutate her body with the ring into the figure of a seventeen year old. Hal did not object to this course of action at all and then promptly slept with her. If that doesn't scream douchebag, nothing does. 
    C) Hal has had sexually suggestive thoughts about the young Kara Zor-El as well

    Uhh no.
     
    Hal is such a perfect lantern that he slaughtered the Green Lantern corp, right? Even before the whole Parallax possession he had gone off the deep end. With similar power and a lot less oversight Kyle fixed Hal's mistake, Kyle had ultimate power and had the willpower to temper himself.  Hal has been shown to have very little self control, the antithesis to willpower. He's not brave, he's reckless and his feats show it.
     
    Kyle is the best human lantern there is because he's done what no other lantern has ever done. 
     
    Hal on the other hand is called the greatest Lantern because the narrator tells us not through feats.
