Deadline claims that Marvel has cast Peter Quill. The cosmic adventurer will be played by chris Pratt

in the James Gunn directed movie.

Chris played in Zero Dark Thirty. Joel edgerton and Jack Huston were also up for the role but they chose him.

So what do you think?

I can see it. Not really familiar with his work, but I can see it.

I just gave away possibly the lead role in GoTG and nobody cares.

Ha Ha Ha..... Fat Star Lord....... I like him in Parks and Rec, but I don't see him as Peter Quill........

@judasnixon: Yeah. I think star lord needs to be able to flip from funny to very intimidation in a second, and I can't really think of any other good actors that could match Carry's intensity.

This is awesome news. I f###ing love Chris Pratt and I think he's a perfect fit for Star-Lord. I just hope that it doesn't interfere with him being on Parks and Rec, because he's my favorite character on the show.

And I don't think his weight will be much of a problem, he got absolutely ripped for Zero Dark Thirty.

I am not familiar with Star-Lord but this guy looks a good match for him.
