The cartoon of the Avengers pulled off the GoG very nice and easy. So yeah Im exited for it

Nova and Starlord in a movie together would be badass.

Oh, and if Thanos isn't the villain, I'm kind of hoping that it'll be either Annhilus or Korvac.

Much as I love Guardians of the Galaxy and have total faith in Marvel in making it work on screen...I don't know I'm super-enthused about it, I'm still hoping we get to see a Black Panther or Doctor Strange movie. But if that's the way it is awesome, I'll see it anyway.

I just hope this doesn't suck. So many things can go wrong with this. It can either be mediocre Like Green Lantern or God awful like The Fantastic Four movies which I still consider to be the worst Marvel comic book movies ever made (Thats pretty bad when they make the Roger Corman film look good.) Just get some of the Sci-fi writers & have J.J abram or Joss Whedon to direct it.

I have this fear they'll not do him justice and it makes me nervous. I'd rather they just put it off forever and just bring him back in the comics ;)

As an aside, I would take anything Latino Review has to say with a grain of salt. A few months ago, they reported that the 2014 film was "definitely" Black Panther.

Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon show really did a good job just showcasing the Guardians of the Galaxy in the Michael Korvac episode, but when will Antman be released??

Didn't Latino Review also break the news bout Black Panther.

I still want to see a Runaways movie, hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer.

Yes they did but I give more credence to this seeing as Disney bought the rights to every guardians of the galaxy related product possible.Although I am sure they have plans for Ant-man and Black Panther.

Even though I would prefer the original cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy, all I have to say is, "YES YES YES!!! A cosmic Marvel movie!"

Yes!!! This has a lot of coolness potential!!

My only worry is that they will probably alter the team lineup, and probably they will change Starlord (my fav. character from the team) for Nova or Quasar, or even make them the Infinity Watch lineup which features many GotG members.

But if they can make it look cool I'm all in for this movie!! (and please, I want to see Starlord helmet on a movie screen!! :D)

I doubt it that would be way too many character running around onscreen and I doubt marvel wants to hand out the pay checks for all that. I would say Star Lord probably makes a trip back to Earth with the Warning.

@darkrider: Thats because WW has a lame personality. Actually its because DC is just struggling with their films. While Marvel took a chance with the likes of the Avengers and Thor and is reaping the benefits. Hopefully DC takes note. Although I couldn't care less if a WW movie isn't made, don't particularly like her.

I hope Adam Warlock and Gamora are in it. Warlock only because he's the only member of the GotU that I'm familiar with, and Gamora cuz... Well, you can guess why.

sadly I expected that to be the case when the BP movie was first announced, it's good to see that not much has changed in the entertainment industry.

I'd hope for Adam Warlock, Drax the destroyer, Major Victory, Wonder Man ('cus apparently he's been with them at some point and he's AWESOME) Gamora and Firelord. But that is a very optimistic choice.

I'd love for them to bring in someone like Wendell Vaughn or Mar-Vell as I doubt their chances of getting a big screen appearance are very great.

Thor wasn't a big name before the movie either (heck not even Iron Man), so I could see this work. IGN already has an article confirming that Nova will be in it. (w00t) The one thing that would make a Marvel Space fan happier would be if this movie made Nova>Green Lantern.

@Duncan: @cc1738: How about the fact that they fight off a universe where there is no death and being continually grew into monstrosities that a fake church in 616 blew up planets to bring these universal size monsters into the galaxy that required some of the biggest most destructive smackdowns you ever seen?! The dog in the GOTG can SHUT DOWN the Hulks brain! And he does that to the alternate univers version!

I mean, THIS picture is how Annihilation ends! Cosmic Marvel is EPIC. They can go into the most wild and nuts directions because they don't always go "Oh, well Cap, Thor and Hulk have to do all this". They have planets explode, nobody is safe because there isn't the popularity factor keeping everyone alive, and it's just freaking COOL! So don't give me your grumbles that you don't know the characters and therefore don't want to see it. Take a dive into the unknown and realize that the Marvel Universe isn't just X-Men, Avengers and Spider-Man only!!!

Oh, and for your information, Star-Lord doesn't NEED superpowers to take on galactic threats. Eat your heart out Captain America.

All this makes perfect sense. The only way The Avengers can realistically take on Thanos is with help. That's where the Guardians come in. Have The Guardians deal with Thanos from space while the Avengers deal with him on Earth. We'll get a more authentic version of Thanos as opposed to a weak movie Thanos that only The Avengers can handle.

Thanos would also have a more fleshed out origin without having to cram it in the next Avengers movie. Same thing happened with Loki in Thor. The Avengers 2 will get straight to the action.
