Plot Summary

Trapped on Knowhere, the Guardians desperately race to uncover their Skrull infiltration. But why are the Skrulls in the Guardians' bizarre HQ, and what exactly are they up to? And even if the Guardians survive the danger, paranoia and intrigue, will the team itself be in one piece after all the cards are laid bare? Find out in the latest buzz-building issue of the series that Aint It Cool News calls "a damn fun comic…with highfalutin' space action, and an anthropomorphic raccoon stealing the show."

Summary:

At last, the skrull crisis in Knowhere is over. After a risky and successful plan, Drax identified the skrulls among them, but the infiltration was not the threat they thought they were facing. The real threat is even more subtle and more dangerous as the team is falling apart after they found out how they were recruited. The guys didn't take very well the mental persuasion and they just walked away leaving Peter and Mantis wondering if this is the future that they were supposed to be embracing.

All through the Guardians involvment in the Skrull Invasion, I was wondering what this outer space group had to do with the story. We do find out here, and it is a reasonable explanation. Unfortunately the books themselves have not been enough to get me interested in the series. Lets face it, that was the real reason they were involved. I was a fan of the original team, and I was hoping to like this one also. Unfortunately the cards did not play that way.  Good for the fans, but then again, they would already have picked this up.
