Two people has been called Grizzly in Marvel Universe. The first was a Spider-Man villain, the second a member of Six Pack. Edit

Maxwell Markham

caption
Maxwell Markham is first introduced as a professional wrestler using the nickname of Grizzly. His overly violent styles of fighting bought him the attention of the ever vigilant J. Jonah Jameson who wrote an article eventually getting Maxwell expelled from the world of professional wrestling. Ten years later, he met with criminal mastermind the Jackal, who gave Grizzly his exoskeleton harness and grizzly bear suit, granting him his super strength. Markham attempted to use the suit to gain vengeance on Jameson, but was defeated by Spider-Man.

After his release from prison, he stole his equipment back and brought it to the Tinkerer for repair. After the repair he used his regained powers to seek vengeance on Spider-Man. During the battle Spider-Man feigns defeat and Grizzly leaves the scene feeling as though his revenge is complete.

Feeling satisfied, Grizzly joins with Gibbon, Spot, and Kangaroo to become the Legion of Losers. Planning only to continue damaging Spider-Man, Grizzly and Gibbon are shocked to see Kangaroo and Spot planning bank robberies. The Legion is successful in a capture of Spider-Man, but later released him decided that he is "an all-right guy". Grizzly and Gibbon team up with Spider-Man to assist in bringing the rest of the Legion to justice.

Grizzly continues to attempt to turn his life around. However, his desires for power, and several accidents involving his connections to criminals make his reform incredibly hard.

Theodore Winchester

caption
Theodore was introduced in the X-Force and Cable story arc. He is an old friend of Cable but has been brain washed by Genesis to commit social atrocities.

Grizzly was a member of Cable's group of mercenaries known as the Wild Pack. Because of conflicts with Silver Sable's group of the same name, they eventually changed their name to the Six Pack.

Years later, G. W. Bridge asked Grizzly to join the group Weapon P.R.I.M.E., a group who's sole purpose was to capture Cable. Their mission failed and Grizzly left the team to join Domino. They parted ways when Domino joined the X-Force and Grizzly left to lead as quiet of a life as possible.

Some time later, Grizzly was unwittingly forced into the life of a serial killer by the mind control of Genesis. Domino was sent by Cable to investigate the murders and discovered Grizzly to be the culprit. The two fought and Domino overpowered Grizzly eventually killing him. Before his passing Grizzly made Domino promise to never tell Cable the actions of his son.

Alternate Realities

Earth-295

During the Age of Apocalypse storyline, Grizzly is portrayed as a bestial mass murderer and portrayed as a significantly more feral being than previous versions of Grizzly. He worked under Domino, who was a minion of Apocalypse. Together, the two attacked Forge's resistance group known as the Outcasts.

Grizzly was killed on one of the raids by Forge after murdering Toad.

Earth-1610

caption
Ultimate Grizzly is introduced in the Cable miniseries, that is part of Ultimate X-Men. This newer version holds the same powers as previous Grizzly personas, however has two forms. His human forms seems to be a dark-haired Native American, whereas he has a feral form resembling a Were-Bear of sorts. His modern-day counterpart is a student at Xavier's School for the gifted.
