Despite the apparent inability of the writers to grasp how to write the main female characters here, finally it seems as though the storyline involving Sela has somewhat of a heartbeat.  Part of this comes from without, as there are actually some developments in limbo which are not arbitrary.  Some of this comes from within as Sela and her new companion must deal with the threats of the swamp which they have to cross.  This is a fairly common example of the "face your fears" swamp or forest, but...
