razzatazz's Grimm Fairy Tales #57 - Diamonds and Toads review

    Tired of his orders

Just to highlight how bad some of the dialogue in this series has become here is an example of what Sela says:  "As long as Erik looks like a mint-in-package action figure, I am going to that city."  As a point of reference here she is talking to a knight who comes from a place with neither mint packaging or action figures.  Thus in this sense, Sela is talking somewhat to her fan-base in the readers.  So with that I was not very pleased with the first half of this issue, but then the second half turned it around.  This is to be fair pretty much the first quasi-fairy tale the series has had in about 15 issues or so, and feels like a breath of fresh air here.  It is hard to see where it is going because it is only half told here, but it is a good lead-in to the second half at the very least.  As I have been bemoaning this series can still produce high quality issues, just they don't seem to have the formula set right at the moment.
