    As if she was made 0

    The series here takes a turn away from the fairy tales and instead focuses more on the complex dealings of the different realms.  Essentially they are preparing for a big battle, but must do so in a calculated way, not that the scales are balanced against them, just that they could be if the proper preparations are not taken.  There are still some background stories which seems sort of like fairy tales, but they end up being more akin to just a slowly revealed origin story.  That is to say that ...
