razzatazz's Grimm Fairy Tales #34 - Puss In Boots review

The issue states that the fairy tale Puss in Boots is being told here, but it is nothing like the version I know.  Instead it tells the modern story of an aunt and her niece who is to keep in her possession a statue.  The aunt explains the nature of the statue, an evil magical item from ancient Egypt that grants power but must be fed souls in return.  To be honest after the previous issue which more or less was just some macabre weirdness, this one started weak but then built well to the end.  Again not the best in the series, and the series still feels half full (or half empty?)  without Sela here, but this is a pretty good story with neither of the main narrators playing a substantial role.
