Remains undeciphered
This thus far might be one of the most overlooked books out of the entire new DC lineup. I am not sure what led me to finally pick it up, but I am glad I did. The story here follows Cole as he is on the run. This leads to a showdown with his brother which felt long and drawn out, until the point of this being long and drawn out was revealed. Elsewhere Gretchen has arrived to Gotham but finds herself in a whole lot of other trouble as she is immediately apprehended. A pentagon briefing gives an idea as to what is going on but still things are a little clear, but as Cole drives off for Seattle at the end it is clear he intends to find out. The story here is kind of gripping, it is not the best that DC has to offer out of the reboot, but its also far from the worst. Its built off of some strong characters, well-conceived plot devices and a fair amount of suspense and mystery. The best of the series so far.
