Bio
Paul Duval was a french chemist who experiment went awry. Once of the chemicals he was working with was contaminated and changed his hand to living stone. When he touched others with this hand they could be transformed into stone statues for an hour. He used his newfound power for theft and eventually travelled to America to try to steal immortality from Thor. After his defeat, Duval has had many clashes with Thor and other heroes. Duval even joined the Masters of Evil at one time.
Duval is currently a member of the "Hood's Gang".
Alternate Versions
Earth X
He gets into a confrontation with most members of the team Excalibur, turning them into stone mid-battle. The Grey Gargoyle is neutralized and the heroes are thought lost to stone forever.
Paradise X
However, as detailed in this limited series, years later, yet another Grey Gargoyle is fetched from an alternate dimension and undoes the work above.T.V.
