    Marvel movies > DC Movies.

Really. the BEST Batman movie was in 1988 staring Michael Kenton and Jack Nichelson. Batman Returns with Michael Kenton was the 2nd best. All other Batmans are irrelevant.
The best Superman movies were Christopher Reeve.

Oh by Odin's beard! You just had to mention about those! Xavier had erased them off my mind and now I am tortured by the memories. Well at least Hulk 2 was good.

not to mention Howard the Duck. and you cant really call that movie Hulk 2 since its not a sequel.

Despite the reviews I've still got hope for it. A movie doesn't have to blow me away for me to enjoy it.

I just came back from seeing the Green Lantern film... I thought it was pretty good... it was not a fantastic film... but it still had a solid balance of action and the plot and story was decent as well... give it an 86 out of 100

well i was wrong about first class (first x-men movie i actually enjoyed, even though mystique is still butchered), so i was pretty damn happy when i discovered that green lantern sucked all along, but i had been saying that since the first trailer dropped

When I heard that Green Lantern movie was being made, I though that it would be like a 57% good, I didn't except it to be so terribly recived.

I saw Thor not that long ago... And X-Men first class, which was pretty great. I really don't think it would be worth my money to go see this movie too, and I think a lot of other people may feel the same way. So it's kinda bad timing, releasing it so soon after both of those. Even if it is bad, nerds would see it if there wasn't anything else on offer.

This is basically how I felt about Thor and First Class. Both could've been better. Hopefully I'll get to see GL tomorrow, I was actually expecting it to be better than both.

Why does people notice this one is not that good, but Thor is so loved.
I mean, both of this films were really week.
So far the best Supeheroe movies are.
    TDK
    The Incredible Hulk
    Watchmen
    Ironman was horribly underrated.
And the Burton films were very lame.

DC has had their share of stinkers. IMO, Marvel has had more successful movies than DC over the years. DC has only really had the first two Superman films, Watchmen,  the 80's Batman movie(with Jack Nicolson Joker), and the latest two Batman movies. The rest have been awful(Steel, Jonah Hex, Superman returns, the other Batman movies, etc) Marvel has had two good Blade movies, 2 good spiderman movies, 3 Good X-men movies(X1, X2, and FC), Iron Man, the second Hulk movie, and Kickass(a marvel imprint). For me, Marvel owns the comic movie scene, and they definitely have this summer on lock with GL being a flop

@biggkeem89: I disagree. Steel was okay I think, I haven't seen Jonah Hex. Marvel's falures IMO include Elektra, Daredevil, X-men: The Last Stand, The Hulk, Fantastic 4: Rise of the silver surfer, the first punisher movie was alright IMO but I hear alot of bashing from other fans,  and Ghost Rider.

Ever since Superman Returns it seems DC's been a bit more careful in what they put out, but I don't feel they've had as many movies that do bad as they do goo. Their good movies have been Tim Burton and Nolan's 4 Batman films, 3 Superman movies,  V for Vendetta, Red, and the Watchmen, there may be a few more that I'm forgetting. Alot of DC's movies are from a really long time ago. Marvel has just started busting out and have made alot of flops and only just recently started to produce quality movies. GL hasn't flopped as far as I know and it just came out today.

Nothing happens in all the freacking movie until the last 10 minutes.
    Bad CGI
    Bad Acting.
Avenger was the main reason why people liked the film.
QWithout the Avengers film coming, Thor was as good as Daredevil, Elektra, Hulk, heck eevn Ironman 2 was a better film.

I am surprised at all the bad reviews, I figured it would at least get a little love out there, but it has been really, really bad!  I will still be in line to see it tomorrow(I mean tonight wow its 3:30 AM). At least the animated GL that just came out was really good, at least I liked it.

@War Killer: If it's good, and since I haven't been disappointed by Marvel Studios yet, I have faith it will be :P

    When does that come out?

Which is another thing about the timing... Wait a little longer and nerds can go see the last Harry Potter movie or Captain America. Green Lantern has kinda been sandwiched in the middle of a load of other superhero movies.

I heard it wasn't really that great...I bet if they'd picked someone other than Ryan Renolds then it would have been better
    Doubt it.
Can't blame the script on Ryan being casted.

I like it but can someone tell me why Sinestro puts on the yellow ring I mean he's not that important in the film. To me he just turns bad out of the blue.
EXACTLY!! And just because it sucked doesn't mean we should lower the bar.

    What about The Watchmen?

Green Lantern  was as bad as I thought it was going to be.  Bad movie pacing, kept repeating the same stuff over and over (guess the director thought we were all goldfish), No real character development outside of Hal, and that's not till the end.  Ryan made a funny Green Lantern, but a bad Hal Jordan.
