Say you were a Green Lantern, would you prefer to have wood or the color yellow as your weakness? If you think about it, both have its advantages and disadvantages. I think I'd prefer to have yellow, it seems like there are a lot less yellow threats than the threat of plant life.

Wood. I'f I'm a GL out patrolling the cosmos I'm alot more likely to encounter the color yellow than non terrestrial life forms which have the same genetic make up as wood back on earth. Plus, all I need is some light body armor to protect against the threat of baseball bats and wooden bullets. On the other hand armor piercing rounds and explosive shells died yellow would be alot more difficult to defend against.

GL's are no longer vulnerable to either of these.

Well assuming that since I'm a GL, I wouldn't be on Earth as much as lets say Oa. That being said, the wood weakness would be the ideal choice because how likely is it that a threat so great would be revolved around wood?

First and foremost, I wouldn't let on that I had a weakness to either. That said, I'd choose wood. Anything could be painted yellow, thus, potentially leaving me vulnerable to a wide range of attacks. No one is going to build a nuclear weapon out of wood.

I had always imagined the starheart designed a weakness to wood to prevent whoever was using the GL ring it had created from destroying the Earth.  
 
So, wood, from the planet Earth, is Alan Scott's weakness - rather than alien "wood", I mean, how do we know the vegetation of other planets even counts as wood that would hurt Alan?  
 
I'd love to see a comic where Martian Manhunter throws the classic yellow ring, Alan Scott's ring, and a Green Lantern ring on. Then grabs the helm of naboo (the mask of fate) and Thor's hammer, and kicks the poop out of Darksied.

WAY over powered. Darkseid would stomp anyway.

No way could Darkseid beat Manhunted if he was pumped up with three lantern rings, the mask of fate and Thor's hammer. J'onn would pound just about any version of Darkseid into dust with all those enhancements. 

Wood cause getting clubbed to death by a wood bat is far less embarrassing than being strangled by a dude in a banana costume because you're power was defective
