Kyle has always been a symbol of hope for the GLC... he was their torchbarer, their last hope for bringing the Corps back to life after Emerald Twilight... and Ganthet has always stood by Kyle in the past.

the only reason Hal got offered the ring first is because Geoff John's has openly admitted that he hates Kyle as a character, the only reason he hasn't been killed off by now is because the DC exec's know that there are more Kyle fans out there than there are Hal fans...

Kyle Rayner is a pussy. If he were a real man, he would have told Batman where to stick it long ago, intead of always doing what Batman tells him.

I guess I'm one of the very few that think Hal'll get a Blue ring. I also think he'll end up with one of each of the rest of them. I think he'll become a "White" Lantern, and save the day against the Black Lanterns. I know this sounds ridiculous, but with him having a Red and Green right now, having weilded Yellow power (... kinda), and is dangerously close to having the Blue Whammy thrown at him, it's closer than you'd think.
