An earth green lantern that's a woman that owns her own title... why can't it work? I really don't know how to explain it or I just don't know...there gotta be reason. Thare is because whenever I think a woman green lantern. I think that doesn't sound right it can't be because I'm sexist. Because if the next robin turns out to be a girl that would be awesome. It can't be because every green lantern we've seen is always a boy and we've gotten used to it for the same reason 5 robins and there still can be a girl. Somebody tell me why won't it work?

Wasn't Jade a female GL from Earth? I thought she was written well, and if DC decides to put her in the New 52 I would read her stories.

There was a girl Robin. Actually, there've been two. As for a female Green Lantern, it appears that Simon Baz, the newest Green Lantern of Earth will train the first female GL of his planet at some point in a possible future.

There have been too many Robins and there are too many human Green Lanterns. Yes yes I know Guy is red now but he won't always be.

I agree with what was said before, too many Green Lanterns on Earth as it is. Though I don't see why a female Green Lantern wouldn't work on her own.

It can, it just hasn't. There'd probably be too much feminist uproar over how terrible she is.

I'd prefer a Jade solo. They should really kill off some Earth Lanterns.

Normally I'm not in favor of quickly killing off and dumping major characters... but if someone were to come along and butcher all but one or two of the Earth GL's, I'd be totally fine with it. I don't really even care which ones stay.

Also, totally off topic, but I really love your avatar... I just started watching Darker Than Black for the first time (actually finished the first season this afternoon) and its become my latest obsession.

I hope she actually is evil. I'm sick of good guy green lanterns. Just because you have supreme will does not mean you have to be good. You can be angry for all the right reasons as well, meaning colors should not dictate what morals a person should have.
