Latino Review has posted an exclusive bit of news saying the role of Carol Ferris has been narrowed down to five candidates. While this is only speculation at this point, for some reason I hadn't really thought of it before. The five candidates are:
- Eva Green. She was last seen in Casino Royale and does have Green in her name.
- Keri Russel. Recently voiced the animated Wonder Woman and has shown she can handle action in Mission: Impossible III.
- Diane Kruger. She was in Inglourious Basterds and National Treasure: Book of Secrets.
- Blake Lively. She's from Gossip Girl. I have no idea what her acting skills are.
- Jennifer Garner. I did like the TV show Alias but there's also the Elektra movie to think about...
Now we get to wait to see if one of these ladies will get the role. If I had to choose, I'd go with either Keri Russell (she's proven in several roles that she can act) or Eva Green (since she has worked with director Martin Campbell and also has darker hair). Kruger and Lively both seem too blonde to play Carol. Yes hair can be dyed but I'm not sure how they'd look as brunettes. And Garner, I do like her but I'm not sure if I'd want to see her in this role. What are your thoughts? Which of these five do you think could fit the role best? Do you have someone else in mind when thinking about Carol?
