    A Green Lantern is an officer of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps, who have the ability to overcome great fear with the might of willpower. They possess power rings capable of creating constructs characterized by their will and strength to use it. Each Green Lantern is given a Sector of the Universe to protect and it is their priority to suppress any threat against their sector.

    i've read green lantern on and off for a while including, almost everything after rebirth/recharge up to the end of blackest night. where in those books did the gl's jump up to superman class? i see that posted in a lot of battles in the forums - that the gl's are on supes level. did i miss something? i understand how parallax and ion could be or sodam yat, but...the rest? please give a brother some help in figuring it out. thanks
