I actually like this idea. Otherwise a cloth suit would look kind of stupid and it would be difficult to explain how it holds together in space. This was definetly a smart choice and it looks cool.

hasn't the suit been energy for a long time in the comics now too? and i say energy is MUCH better for several reasons

1.if it rips or tears you can just mend it with willpower
2.you can change it's style at will
3.you dont have to carry around a suit under your clothes
    4. you can quick change so fast, Wonder woman will get jealous
the only draw back i see is that when you're outta power, it disappears, so you BETTER not be naked under it

" The mask still looks kinda....off.'wish they'd also use a real physical suit for some scenes/shots... Alright.. I wouldn't say it's completely bad...but it's not fantastic either. So many "wrong" aspects of it, not counting the nerds' complaint about how faithful or not it is. From a purely aesthetic approach, I understand why they would get rid of the white elements of the comic book costume.  But was it important to show of his thumbs? Look at his feet!  I mean, even diving suits will usually either cover the feet (and hide the thumbs) or have fins hide 'em.The feet here looks kinda...silly.Like he's actually completely naked (and fighting crime across space that way..)  "

Agreed.. I just can not get past how silly it looks. :/

And if his toes are exposed why not his genitals? Well, I know why but if the suit is simply designed as a second skin how would it know to cover his manhood?

Also, how is the domino mask a disguise? It's just green paint around the eyes. That's about as effective a mask as Clark Kent's glasses..

In the oringial GL comics it has changed from fabric to energy to the now movie version which I can only assume is made of the gay energy that Ryan Reynolds exudes when he chronically attempts humor.  Ryan Reynolds is like a less funny, slightly better looking version of Dane Cook, so its easy to confuse them.  Let me clarify, Ryan Reynolds is the manorexic who 2nd on the current list to Chris Evans as "Most likely dude to ruin your superhero franchise".  Bye Bye any hope of seeing a cool, gritty Cap, or a fearless, war hero for Hal Jordan.  Nope, you life long fans get jokester doofuses (I hope that is the correct plural form of doofus).  Nice call DC, Marvel and whoever else at the production company who had zero passion for the product and simply wants a larger demographic audience versus a good film.  The only reason any of these movies were successful was their believablity and rawness.  These two frat boys are way too clean cut and downright goofy for me to take them seriously.  How bout the rest of you true believers?

At first I hated it but it doesn't seem that bad anymore. The feet still look a little weird but it'll grow on me.
