Green Lantern
Concept » Green Lantern appears in 2504 issues.
A Green Lantern is an officer of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps, who have the ability to overcome great fear with the might of willpower. They possess power rings capable of creating constructs characterized by their will and strength to use it. Each Green Lantern is given a Sector of the Universe to protect and it is their priority to suppress any threat against their sector.
New Green Lantern Movie Action Figures
Blastr recently reported on these wonderous looking Green Lantern figures that should be out in time for the film. The pictures will also be released in time for the film. From left to right: Medphyll, NautKeLoi, and Ch'p. These characters will most likely be in the film, along with characters we know have will appear: Hal Jordan, Abin Sur, Kilowog, Sinestro, and Hector Hammond.
Two out of three of these characters pictured above are pretty obscure, so it seems the film is really digging into the Green Lantern Universe, and the third character (Ch'p) isn't the most well known of the Lanterns, but he has some loyal followers. (i.e. me) although Medphyll and NautKeLoi look pretty cool, their bodies are exactly the same, which is a bit of a bummer, but GL fans will probably buy them anyway. Ch'p, however, looks fantastic, and he's a sure addition to any collectors Corps set-up.
Also, in January, Toy Fare will be releasing the full image of the silhouette to the right. Many people are starting their speculations for who this character might be, and I have some of my own. I dug pretty deep to find a Green Lantern Corps member that could fit the bill, and to me, it looks as though it could be G'Hu of sector 2937. However, I'm about 99.9% sure that a Corps member that appeared in less than 5 issues is being made into a toy, and why would they black-out a character who doesn't have a vital role in the film? So, I've got good, hard-earned money on the fact that this is actually a form of Parallax, who I believe was confirmed as a part of the film. It makes the most sense, since they're making a big deal with the blacked out figure. Who do you think the silhouette is? What do you think about the other figures?
UPDATE: The silhouette is actually G'Hu. I was .1% correct. I win!
" Kerrigan. Finally getting that Green Lantern/StarCraft crossover nobody is asking for. "I saw someone else say that on another site and laughed out loud. They do look the same though, silhouette wise
I love how Medphyll and NautKeLoi are the same figure apart from swapped heads. Was hoping the movie would try to make the aliens actually look more alien but that's probably too much to ask :/
I like Ch'p! How cute!
I'm not sure that's entirely accurrate.
An earlier report I read said these come from a "Green Lantern Legends" ficure set or some such and the only one from the movie is the one blcaked out.
That would kind of explain the look of them too. The costumes are much more consisitant with the comic than the movie.
I'm reporting what Blastr said, but their original article has a few screw-ups in it... They called Ch'P Dex-Starr.... Essentially they called a green lantern squirrel a red lantern cat" "Blastr recently reported on these wonderous looking Green Lantern figures that should be out in time for the film. It's definitely not Parallax. Check out the following link to find out who it is.

@inferiorego:
You get Nicole Bass. I'll send her right away to you. ;)
I hope they make a Carol Ferris toy. Just so Gossip Girl fans can buy it and tell all their friends that they got the brunette Serena toy. lol
Looking good. It looks like the designs for the Aliens are pretty true to the comics and are really coool.
Why don't they just make a green lantern body and just have bunch of different head you can switch--since it would seem the two shown above other than ch'p have the same body (which is not uncommon in the toy world--given prototypes and just the plain cheapness of toy makers)
