Green Lantern

A Green Lantern is an officer of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps, who have the ability to overcome great fear with the might of willpower. They possess power rings capable of creating constructs characterized by their will and strength to use it. Each Green Lantern is given a Sector of the Universe to protect and it is their priority to suppress any threat against their sector.

So I finally got around to reading Green Lantern Secret origin and noticed a lot of images that seem to have been copied for the film in the green Lantern trailer. One of the reasons I liked Nolan's Batman Begins and The Dark Knight is how similar they were in appearence to certain comics they were based off of. In BB and TDK we got things like Gray Oldman's look as Gordon from Year One and Two-Face/Harvey Dent's two toned suit in TDK (among many many others), and just from shots in the trailer there are a large number of shots similar to images in Geoff Johns Green Lantern Secret Origin, as I discovered while reading through it last night. Chapter Three seems especially influential.
