I just read this issue and I was totally amazed. If the Blackest Night main-issues shows this crisis on Earth, then Green Lantern shows this crisis in intergalactic proportions... The big ones of the Corps are here: Hal Jordan, Sinestro, Mongul, Carol Ferris...
We have great art, plot, action, drama and all that's necessary for a good comic book!
An Excellent tie-in to the great series that's BLACKEST NIGHT.
An earned 5 out of 5!

Before your read any of this, just a warning that it is a full scale

    Spoiler Alert

Okay, I think that got everyones attention. Now for the review. I felt that this issue really helped define the rings, showing their differences. The Red Lantern ring literally renders the heart unnecessary. Atrocitus got his ripped out, and kept right on trying to destroy black lanterns. Black Lanterns can sense emotion, and regenerate. Orange Lanterns have the whole corps. Indigo Lanterns channel other rings as well as their indigo compassion.

In addition to clarifying the rings, this issue developed the relationship between Hal and Sinestro and Abin Sur. John Stewart and the planet Xanshi. And everything wove together, making an excellent story.

When you have an event like the blackest night, you would think that the regular Green Lantern would be dumbed down a little.

Since this version of Green Lantern has been coming out, its been fast paced, hard hitting and just an overall fun time
    (Warning Spoilers ahead)
For one I just love to see sinestro and Hal back together side by side.
This issue also has a nice story involving the Red lanterns, while still showing the dream team kicking ass everywhere
(dream team being, Hal, Sinestro, and Indigo 1)

So if your just getting into Blackest Night, get pumped! this is building itself up to be one great event.
