The Templar Guardians have been locked away for millennia, but they have a VERY clear idea of what they need to do next — and of all the Lanterns in the universe, they need Kyle Rayner’s help. So it’s a shame he wants nothing to do with them! But once he sees the strange anomaly lurking at the edge of the universe, he may have no choice but to get on board with their mission...

On Oa, the Templar Guardians are asking Kyle Rayne, the new Whiten Lanterns, to go with them to tour the universe but when he says no the Templars sends Hal Jordan to convince Kyle to go along with their plans.

After fighting some supped up space sharks, Kyle agrees and after packing up his new york City apartment and saying good bye to Carol Ferris, Kyle joins the Templars on their mission to the end of the universe.

At the edge of the universe they find the Anomaly, a piece of the old universe, and are attcaked by Exeter, the guardian of the Anomily. Kyle fights him while the Templars investigate the Anomily. The Anomily reacts to Kyle's ring and starts to change and before anyone knows what's happening Relic emerges from the Anomily.
