The Training of a Lantern
Sinestro has been assigned to train Hal Jordan by the Guardians of the Universe. They begin by visiting an interstellar trade cartel and, contrary to what you might expect, Sinestro proves to be a lot more restrained in dealing with undesirables than Hal. If there's one thing this issue shows, it's that Sinestro is a complex character. Much more complex than I ever gave him credit for.
The other major plot development is Hal's new cell mate Willie, who almost immediately discovers Hal Jordan's secret. This is pretty much a set up issue, so it isn't one of the most exciting Green Lantern issues ever, but it just might be the set up for issues that are.
