Not surprisingly for a story arc which focuses on the Star Sapphires this issue focuses on love, and it does so in three different subplots and also from three different angles.  The first focuses on a young couple on a honeymoon which is sadly interrupted by a marauding Mongul.  He shows complete disregard for their lives and kills the newly married husband leaving a grieving wife.  In the second part Guy and Tora have a discussion about where they are going to take their relationship which doesn't really end well for them although there is nothing final about what has happened.  The final sub plot hints again about a coming romantic interest between Soranik and Kyle.  The first sub plot here was the best handled and actually touching, but the other two felt either clunky or too short leaving this issue only in the good range, not great.
