Mini Review Green Lantern Corps #025

My opinion in a few sentences.

    The Cover
What do I think of the cover's art, layout and context?

The cover is just average. I neither like the artwork very much nor the layout. It's a standard cover, but it reflects well that this issue is about a John Stewart in his early years without a ring.
    3/5 Stars

    The Plot (with SPOILERS)
What is this issue about? What are the main events?

During the blackout in Gotham City John and the Marine Corps try to evacuate some people out of a stadium to rescue them from the upcoming storm, but due to the manipulation of Anarky the residents revolt against the marines. Eventually John manages to beat Anarky and convince the people to seek shelter.

    The Art
Does it appeal to me or not?

Nothing to nag about, but it is not very remarkable either.

    Verdict
A few general words on this issue.

I liked to dive into the charachter of John Stewart and how the events in the stadium were connected with experiences his mother told him about revolting people. Now I think to have a better understanding of the character's motivations, but overall this issue was just okay.

Btw: The appereance of Batman was more than pointless.

    Quote of the issue
A funny oneliner? A meaningful phrase? A memorable remark?
This quote stood out in this issue:

"Shirley Stewart is the only one who gets to call me "son". And you better believe I'll follow her rules over yours every day of the week."

    Rating: 3/5 stars

4 = I recommend this issue! Overall this was a very entertaining read.
3 = An average, but still good issue.
2 = I can see potential, but overall I did not like this issue.
1 = I consider this issue bad and can not find any appeal in it.
