Bombs away
This is the not-very-compelling end to the not-very-compelling mini story arc around Boodikka and her transformation into an Alpha Lantern. As she was last seen, the Bellatrix Bombers were ready to mete out some revenge or some such punishment for her having left. What results is a not very well paced action sequence. Part of the problem here is that Boodikka has not been the center of attention thus far and with the the new emphasis on the Alpha Lanterns, she is being forced upon the reader, who it seems is almost expected to get her background, although it has only been very briefly described. The part where she and her sister are summoned back to Oa is better and the part with the Laira's disappearance better still, but this feels as though they are trying to hurry to lay some groundwork before the next being event. It ends up being a bit of a disappointment.
