razzatazz's Green Lantern Corps #14 - Sinestro Corps War Part 3: The Gathering Storm review

Life is old there, older than the tress

As part of the greater Sinestro Corps War crossover this issue changes its focus all around, but it mostly focuses on a battle between Sinestro and Soranik on Korugar.  The Korugarians are restless and seek some political changes, but they surprisingly look to Soranik for the answers.  Despite her claims that she is not a politician they seek her, the more so when Sinestro makes it appear as though she has beaten him.  This was by far the most interesting aspect of the issue, and really this moment has been built to since the first issue.  The rest of the action follows other Lanterns as they are occupied in their respective parts of the universe, be it on Qward, Oa or Mogo.  A pretty strong issue, and one which keeps the momentum in the crossover going strong.

      good smackdown scene 0

Part 3 of the Sinestro Corps War is in the Green Lantern Corps title, issue #14. This is a great introduction to the history of Korugar, the home planet of Sinestro which is now under the protection of a new Green Lantern. Doctor Soranik Natu has potential but she seems afraid to take on the responsibility of even being a Green Lantern no less being the protector of Sinestro’s former sector, 1417. It takes a very strong willed Lantern to take this assignment and this woman just didn’t impress me...
