We Can Never Go Too Long Without Some Sinestro 1

Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner confront the Entity-possessed Guardians and become part of Krona's insane plan. We also get a glimpse of Sinestro battling his way through the Book of the Black, because as we all know, Sinestro is the real star of this series. After not seeing much of the Guardians since they were taken by Krona in the beginning of this crossover, it is good to finally see them in action as their Entity-possessed selves. Truth be told, we only quick glimpses of each of them as they bas...

The End is Near But Not Looking Good For The Lanterns 7

Krona's control of the Green Lantern Corps continues. With more mindless and violent Lanterns being created, is there any hope for Hal, Guy, Kyle and John? The GoodWho doesn't like reading a comic where the odds are stacked against the heroes? The great thing is seeing the heroes overcome those odds. It's still a kick seeing Hal and the others wearing the rings of the other Lanterns, trying to control their abilities. Will they be able to return to their former selves after harnessing the powers ...

Who are going to be the Guardians of the universe? 1

Cover I really love all the colors for the cover. One of my favorite things of the art of this series is that it is always so colorful but it never clashes. I also like the concept for this cover because the end of this issue Guy and Hal are captured which is shown on the cover. Story Hal and Guy are fighting the guardians who are being possessed but in the end they are captured by Krona and he wants to change them as the new guardians of the universe. Best Part I have been really li...

Say goodbye to the life you once knew Hal Jordan!!!!!!! 0

Green Lantern #66 Okay so we are up to part 7 of the WAR OF THE GREEN LANTERN ARC! Umm unfortunately this is the first issue of the arc I actually read so please forgive me if I have any wrong information on this segment of the review! So from what I can tell it looks as if Hal and Guy are in some big trouble with the new guardians. Hal wants to attack the central core of the Green Lantern to get to Parallax because Parallax is the cause of all this. The New Guardians capture them. Sinestro is st...

Hal and Guy Vs. The Guardians! 0

Issue #66 has Hal and Guy taking on Krona and the possessed Guardians of the Universe. Check out my review at sequentialreview.com for the full review!   Hal Jordan is channelling the power of Fear while Guy Gardner is powered by Rage, but neither of them can stand up to The Guardians infused with all of the powers of the emotional spectrum! While the leaders of the Corps try to battle their way out of The Book of Black, Jordan and Gardner find themselves at the evil Krona's will, and soon to b...

Hal and Guy together again for the last time! 0

Summary and scans here  The Good Action- The fight between Hal/Guy and the possessed guardians hits all the right notes, explosions, flashing colors, constructs…..good stuff! Art- Lovely dynamic colors compliment the line work, making for a visual treat. Cover- both covers are eye catching candy Story- I loved seeing Hal and Guy working together and even better we finally know what Krona desires, to replace the Guardians of the universe with the species from the planet which birthed emotion...

    Tested long enough 0

After taking some time to get going the story arc really finds its way here.  With the remaining lanterns split up this story focuses almost solely on Hal and Guy as they attempt to remove the yellow impurity from the central battery.  In reality this seems very similar to the previous events in the story arc, that is until Sinestro gets involved.  He comes to the realization that he is trapped within the book and starts literally tearing his way out of it.  This was the funnest part of this iss...
