    Miss This Issue & You're a Poozer!

This issue starts the War of the Green Lanterns arc in earnest, as Johns further expands what was introduced in 63.  The Guardians on Oa continue to complain about Hal Jordan and their desire to capture him.  The story dwells a little too much on this and I think it's a waste of panel space.  Let's get some action!

Great centerfold art in this one!  Krona shows up on Oa with all the spectrum entities and he uses them in evil fashion on the Guardians.  What is even more shocking is that the Yellow entity re-enters the main Power Battery, thus reintroducing the "impurity."

For those not familiar, the "yellow impurity" was what caused the green power not to affect yellow.  I thought this was thrown out, but it looks as though something's going to happen that may change all that.  Dang, can't wait for Green Lantern Corps. 58!  I kind of hate it when they jump from issue to other issue for a continuing story, but Johns writes a mean script and this story is starting to really grab on.

There is so much to a Green Lantern story:  Hal Jordan, undisciplined, brave.  The hots for Carol Ferris at times clashing with his desires to help his sector; and the crazy decisions of the Guardians who are more authoritarian than wise, in my opinion.

    A must-read!

War of the Mind-Controlled Green Lanterns 0

War of the Green Lanterns kicks off as a revamped, far more interesting take on Krona goes after his revenge on the Guardians of the Universe, using the Green Lantern Corps and Emotional Entities to do it. However to actually give us a war of Green Lanterns, Geoff Johns has to force it to happen.  The strongest part of this issue is Krona's confrontation with the Guardians and the method of revenge he takes on them. The use of the Emotional Entities is very fitting and really fits perfectly with...
