Guess What? More Epic Craziness Inside

As the War of the Green Lanterns approaches, Krona's plan with the Emotional Entities moves further along.

    The Good

Where to begin? The Green Lantern comics continue to get more and more intense with each issue. I've always enjoyed Hal Jordan's adventures but the recent stories keep getting more and more epic. This issue begins with a flashback one billion years ago. That's some crazy stuff. Seeing Krona before his current state and right away on the second page we're treated with a rather interesting image.

The main focus in the issue is on Hal and the problem the Guardians have with emotions. Clearly something big is coming up since we have the War of the Green Lanterns on the horizon plus the fact that Hal has been wearing the ring non-stop lately. And wait until you see where Hal and the other Lantern Corps member pay a visit.

Besides the crazy story pace, the art once again is filled with the emotion of each character. You can really see what they're going through with the way their facial expressions are depicted.

    The Bad

Nothing. There might not be huge amounts of your typical Green Lantern action but as the story continues to unfold, you can't really ask for more.

    The Verdict

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This is a great time to be reading Green Lantern. Geoff Johns may have had his writing hooks for the last several years but we're clearly seeing what he's been building up to. The Green Lantern stories were good before but they keep getting a bigger and bigger feel to them. I was hesitant as we started seeing all the different new Lantern Corps pop up but even my normal complaint about too much color in sci-fi comics isn't a factor here. You get a feeling that series is about to explode and after War of the Green Lantern, I can't help but wonder how Johns will top all this.

Cover I really love the cover. It is all the colors of the different Lanterns. Also the art is very good also. So, this cover really drew me in to get the issue. Story All the lanterns have to team up to defeat Krona. But first they have to find his motive for why he wants to steal all of the entities. As the lanterns search they find the Black Lantern book which has the lost chapters of the Book of Oa. One chapter reveals a little about Krona and then the book reveals a new chapter titled “the...
