No replacement
Building on the lead from Blackest Night #7, this issue is exactly where the story arc needed to go. Even with Sinestro in charge of the power of the the white light, the momentum is still in the hands of the Black Lanterns as they mount a final assault on all life. The real fun here though is not the resolution of this battle, but rather the resolution of the threat posed by Xanshi. A strike team of Lanterns head off for the planet trying to find a way to stop it, otherwise all life on Earth might end anyway, even if they can stop Nekron. this was a lot of fun to read and really quite entertaining overall as far as the issue goes. The cliffhanger set up the finale to Blackest Night perfectly as well.
