SummaryIn the concluding issue of Green Lantern’s first New 52 story arc, ‘Sinestro’, Sinestro and Hal must bring peace to Korugar by liberating the planet from the Sinestro Corps. However, it’s not just the Sinestro Corps this duo has to worry about as Sinestro’s past atrocities finally are about to catch-up with him...What I likedThose moments: This issue has some of those moments you can only get from a Green Lantern story. From epic scale battles with colour bouncing all over the place, to a...

    Good-Bye Hal 0

Geoff Johns is a great writer and has been writer Green Lantern for a long time now. However, before the New 52, he made a change and put Sinestro as the green lantern. Five issues in should be enough time to see where this is going.   THE GOOD: The art is great. Doug Mahnke can add a lot of details into his pages and it's really fun just to look at what he draws. The coloring for the page where Sinestro walks up with the lantern is amazing. The story is also fairly good. I'm really warming up t...

"I do not deserve your praise or your trust, little ones."'Sinestro', the first Green Lantern story line since the New 52 started, finally concludes. Sinestro finally convinces the Korugarians to help him. Sinestro apparently always has more than one plan of action when preparing for something. While he, the Korugarians, and Hal are locked inside a cell, Sinestro's lantern isn't. He uses it to escape and together they destroy the Sinestro Yellow Corps.Once again, another fine issue. More great c...

Geoff Johns my number 1 writer of the year, 2011. Knocking it out the ball park. This is just a fantastic read. It’s Green Lantern fan celebration. We finally get what most fans want. And I don’t to spoiler it. But hey it’s a long time coming for Hal Jordon and the fans. Sinestro makes his way to being hero for the time being, however his popularity is just angry people mostly. Who can blame the people of Korugar. This comic is highly recommended. I rate this issue a 5.0 rating of 5.0 rating.htt...

    Ordered to protect 0

After a pretty good overall concept for the first story arc, this issue ends on a fairly good level, but really only good and not better.  The main focus here is the escape from the Korugarian prison where an army of Sinestro-made Green Lanterns reside within.  In terms of the developments here, it is as usual not the plot devices themselves that stand out but really the character, portrayal.  This becomes all the more evident as Arsona and Sinestro remain antagonistic towards each other through...

Addiction Is Not That Simple 0

I don't really like Hal Jordan. Of all the Lanterns of Earth, he's my least favorite, and plenty of other Lanterns are above him as well. He's just too much of a tool. This doesn't stop me from enjoying all the stories where he headlines, I just don't like him as a person. And I've been liking Sinestro more and more with each issue of this volume of Green Lantern. He takes great joy in pointing out every single flaw in Hal, something I no longer need to do because Sinestro does it for me. But thi...

Comic Review -- Green Lantern #5: Sinestro, Part Five / Geoff Joh 0

Originally posted on my blog, The Comics Cove, not too long ago...Alright, now this is a fun cover! Sinestro and Hal, rings ablaze, fight together while standing atop the bodies of the Sinestro Corps. While I’ve enjoyed Hal’s second string status for this arc, it is good to see him on the cover again. When their attack on Sinestro fails, the Korugarians begrudgingly agree to turn their rings on the Sinestro Corps. While they distract them, Sinestro and Hal journey back to the Yellow Lantern batte...
