The rest is about to catch up
The first real step into the action of Blackest Night takes place here as Hal Jordan and Barry Allen are drawn to Gotham to discover who has tampered with the grave of Bruce Wayne, but it is not long before an answer begins to find them as the resurrected Martian Manhunter returns and not under such friendly circumstances - as a herald for the Black Lanterns he is upset that Barry and Hal did not stay dead and thus join him in the new Black Lantern Corps. A lot of this issue unfolds as a drawn out action sequence between them, which is not necessarily very gripping but at least moves the plot along. At the end the action cuts to John Stewart who witnesses a bizarre sight of his own at the location of Xanshi. A decent overall issue to add to the story arc.
