Heart of Darkness

This issue made me laugh in a very scared way, this book forced me to analyze each panel at least 4 times, this issue made me question if liking it made me a bad person.
This issue is, at it's core, the origin story of the Black Hand. And it's a sick and twisted ones. Mr. Hand was a very... dark character to say the least. He stuffed his family dog, he found a dead woman to be beautiful, we first see him laying in a grave with three corpses. 

In the end we get a beautifully drawn and written story that ends by defining exactly how you get into the Black Lantern Corps., death. This is a must read, a must pick-up, a must remember.

Wow. There is a reason that the 'Blackest Night' story may very well be the most anticpated comic book arc of this year. if you have any doubt about that, you need to read this issue. i am not sure if Blackest Night could have a better lead in than this issue.  The new concept behind the Green Lanterns and the Corps members of other spectrums has given many heroes and villains a new focus where in the past they had none, and with others such as Hal, Carol or Sinestro already being tied into the intricate plot it is now Black Hand's turn.  With the theme of Blackest Night being death it is therefore not surprising as he is brought into the spectrum that he is portrayed in a cr...
