If you've never read a GL book, don't start here! 0
As I was reading this book today, yes a day late... SORRY, I thought to myself, "If this were my first green lantern book, I'd have no clue what in the hell was going on." This story arc is so deeply rooted in not only green lantern folk lore, dating back to the inception of Jordan as GL, but it also has so much to do with the upcoming Light Wars & Blackest Night. This arc is pretty much for hardcore fans only. For the rest of us Lanternites, this issue helps wrap up some open ends, I think....

Green Lantern Secret Origin Part 6 0
While issues 32 and 33, were leading the secret Origin story through the details of Green Lantern's developing friendship with Sinestro, Part 6 ties some of the threads together. In this issue is the battle between Sinestro and Atrocitus. We also see the first time Hal Jordan overpowers something yellow. A (New) Secret Origin 1
I'm just going to say this right now. Ivan Reis has to be one of my favorite artists in the biz right now. 'nuff said. Are we ever going to tire of authors coming back and retelling our favorite hero's origin story and calling it "Secret Origin"? Or is the constant retelling a necessity and does calling them "Secret Origin" add a timelessness to it? The true meaning 0
This issue is inverted from the typical comic book format in that it loads the action at the front and the drama at the end. It does so pretty effectively though as the beginning action serves as the inspiration for what follows. The action basically follows a battle between Hal and Sinestro against Atrocitus. Despite some momentary setbacks and despite needing some coaching from the more experienced member, it quickly becomes clear that Hal is well regarded by Sinestro. That being the case ...
