    The prelude to "The Blackest Night" continues, building off of FINAL CRISIS: RAGE OF THE RED LANTERNS! Hal and the Green Lanterns venture to the prison planet Ysmault to face the full fury of Atrocitus and the Red Lantern Corps. Meanwhile, the war lights ignite across the universe as the Controllers seek out the Orange Lanterns.

    After the long and sometimes drawn out story arc "Secret Origins" this issue returns to the action and in a spectacular way.  In fact this issue is so full of plot twists and new revelations that the word packed could almost be used here.  There are basically two main sub-plots going here with a third one thrown in to provide some further complications for the future.  The main one involves Hal confronting the first Blue Lantern and being taken to their homeworld where he encounters Ganthet and ...
