With all the old GL sectors abandoned, there's plenty of work to be done. Ganthet sends Green Lantern and Jade to a formerly protected sector where an uncharted planet is under siege by a group of mindless, super-powered creatures. Kyle and Jen are the last hope for a race of industrialist nomads!

While on Oa, Ganthet asks Kyle and Jade to check on the Resal in sector 1014, and help them with an invasion problem. Mindless savage beasts are attacking the Resal, called Bore Beasts and they are defenseless against them. Kyle and Jade arrive just in time to stop one of such beasts from destroying a Resal mining operation. The Bore Beast runs off and Kyle and Jade speak to the Resal leader, Chancellor Karan. Karan explains that the Resal left their last planet when all the resources dried up and came to the new planet years ago. Soon after arriving the beasts showed up and started causing damage. He also informs the Green Lantern and Jade that Resal relocate allot and this upsets Jade who likens it to Locust of Earth. Kyle and Jade soon find the Bore Beasts lair underground but are soon overwhelm and are forced to retreat.
