Green Lantern's Statue goes to War
In the present day, Green Lantern finds a piece of metal in his hair and after using the ring he learns it is no metal found on Earth. It is soon revealed that in the 58th century Chairman Dasor and Star City are being threaten by another threat that only Green Lantern can help them defeat. Dasor uses the Timescope and Matter Transporter to pull Green Lantern to the 58th century.
As always Green Lantern's memories are wiped by the time traveling process and when he arrives Dasor implants the fake memories of the hero Pol Manning the Solar Director and love of Iona Vane into Green Lantern's mind. Dasor explains that General Bassett, Koring and Mi-Vard have formed a Junta and are attacking the city. Green Lantern sends the Space Legion from Pluto to stop them, but they are over run. This forces Green Lantern to take matters into his own hands and he attacks their base, where he is able to capture the generals.
He takes them back to Star City and when he interrogates them they don't remember why they decided to rebel against Star City. Green Lantern's questioning is interrupted when the magician Ferenc Aldebaran arrives at the office and demands to see Green Lantern. Iona lets him in and after Ferenc shows Green Lantern some magic tricks, Green Lantern sends him away with a construct.
Green Lantern then learns the last thing the Generals remembers is seeing Ferenc's stage show, and Green Lantern quickly realizes Ferenc is behind the attacks. Green Lantern flies off to capture Ferenc but the villain uses a Mento Ray of the hero and he becomes almost powerless. As a last-ditch effort Green Lantern use his ring to give life to a statue of himself and the statue, being immune to the Mento Ray captures Ferenc.
With the threat diverted Green Lantern goes back to his time, never realizing that Iona has real feeling for him. Back in the 1960s Green Lantern finds the piece of metal in his hair, which was a piece of the statue from the future.
