Green Arrow is an archer who invents trick arrows with various special functions, such as glue arrows, net, explosive, time bomb, grappling, fire extinguishing, flash and tear gas arrows, as well as cryonic, boxing-glove arrows, and even a kryptonite arrow.

So using explosive arrows he can take down machines, planes robots, over the top enemies.

He can immobilise enemies with glue and net arrow.

He can set a warehouse on fire.

At once, his explosive arrows can kill a large number of mobs.

A gun can only shoot a pathetic 1 enemy at one time and can't even do anything else other than injure or kill.

I will say there is much more strength and skill involved with a bow and arrow but over all a gun is far more efficient. So maybe not better but definitely more respectable

Well there is a time span from being shot to going to his hand and then departing from his hand. But I was just saying that to say it.

Bows have a lot of trick arrows or one's that are a little strange but very useful. Like in Avengers with the arrow that fit perfectly in that computer slot. But guns are usually more efficient and effective.

Archers are only cool if there's one of them in my opinion

I prefer a bow to a gun but I'm old fashioned.

Bows and arrows are only better than guys in niche situations like grappling,not making loud nosing if you don't have a silencer, and their ammo is plenty and easier to make than bullets. If you want to be hip in a zombie apocalypse, you can go ahead and use a bow and arrow.

what about crossbows? Did anyone ever asked why he never used one of those. the bow use is convenient tool that can be build by a tree branch and good string that was his origin. I know he keeps that as a memento but shouldn't he have at least wrist crossbow ready.

if someone really had those arrows it would be too heavy and fall to the ground in 10 feet
