Oliver Queen was a spoiled, thrill-seeking playboy, until he was left stranded on a deserted island for several years. There, he trained to become a master archer in order to survive. After his return home, he used his new-found skills and his wealth to became the costumed vigilante known as Green Arrow.
So I'm sure many of you have seen the cover art for the DC relaunch Green Arrow #1 and I was just wondering what everybody thought about his new costume (which is pretty much just the Smallville costume) and what other changes do you think there will be?
I'd argue that if they were going to reference a costume because more people would recognize it, they should have referenced the one from the Justice League cartoon. I've only seen maybe half a season of Smallville so this costume means nothing to me and I think it looks pretty meh. I wouldn't call it "bad," it just doesn't thrill me.
Sure the costumes good but so is batman's and I still wouldn't want Ollie running around in the batsuit. I think it might take some getting used to as I did really love the old costume, I just hope this doesn't mean that he is going to be more like the Green Arrow we've seen in Smallville rather than that we've read for years.
On a plus note he is still wearing the mask rather than a pair of sunglasses.
I dont read Green Arrow at all but i like this costume and i am glad that they decided against the sunglasses that was my only problem with smallville (well that and the fact that everyone else on the team had basicly the same pattern on thier costume...oh and WHERE THE FUCK WAS BATMAN REALLY!!!!)
@fodigg: Yeah i does kind of look like Sabretooth, I'm hoping that someone else has got hold of a Green Arrow costume because that is not the Ollie I know and love. I'd hope it was Connor because the hair looks about right but I never really liked him and wouldn't want him to be involved in the new series too much.

Yea I was think that, it dosent look like the same guy as 1# so it might be conner
I'm going to keep my eyes out for this series....I agree that the costume is strange (more Smallville as others said), but the writer did say they were going to have him have more spy like adventures...
This could be good (or alright) or it could be bad...we'll see what happens when the series comes along...
