The art isn't bad, but I'm not really feeling that new costume.

@xwraith: on twitter they said it isn't finished, maybe about 75-80% done, plus a bit of a style change

@mrnoital: I saw that in the other thread. I don't think I'll actually be picking this up, though.

@mrnoital: For me, it's not as much having any doubts about the creative team as it is having a full pull list. Half of which is by Jeff Lemire.

@xwraith: he is taking on a pretty big number of titles, but I'm interested in the writer for this, this is his first extended run on any titles, but has won awards for his short stories

the way the artist goes about making the comic is pretty cool, I'm pretty excited to see how it looks

How I layout a comic page: I read the script, take notes, impressions. I think of the scene like a movie, then I rethink it, like what if it begins on a close-up and ends on an establishing shot instead of the other way around, etc. Usually run through about 3 versions, sketching to remember details, and then go with the one I think works best, including notes for placing script. I've been focused on this approach the last couple months and, frankly, it's helped me to 'level up'. Also, every page I draw has additional panels now. You can't get enough frames in a comic compared to film-- but I'm trying :)
