@risingbean: Suck it up and buy the issues if you can - online if you have to >.<
Its soooooooo worth it.
I've only read the first two issues of GA just to see if they were worth reading and quickly learned they weren't.
Character » Green Arrow appears in 4303 issues.

@kazekaine1: when did they announce Constantine?!
Many tribal cultures all over the world where black paint over their eyes in a similar matter that Arrow wore his. So it looked like warpaint, and it was cool.
The mask is lame.
@fallschirmjager: Oh I plan to. I'm just waiting for it to hit trade. I've stuck with it since the New 52 started, I don't have any intent to stop once I hear it gets good. I've seen a bit on here and it does look pretty boss.
The previous? Yeah, not the best. It got worse before it got better. Be glad you only checked out a few issues worth.
@fallschirmjager: yes
@captain13: all of smallvilles costumes looked like they were designed by the same people from Power Rangers.
I don't give a damn what it looks like so long as its green and its not that damned eye shadow. It doesn't even hide his identity that well! If they just flips his hood up or if the wind does it or something, literally everyone knows who it is! That happened sooooo many times in the first season and I'm glad they're adding the mask on
@comicking7: in september its being developed by nbc
Here's another look at the mask itself
And as for people wondering why they delayed giving Green "Arrow" a mask, well, "according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, the answer is multi-faceted. ”Conceptually, it was something we wanted to do because Oliver himself is evolving as the Arrow– from vigilante to hero, sort of from Arrow to Green Arrow — and we wanted to see that progression in his costume as well,” he said. “As Oliver is embracing being a hero, being a hero means stepping out of the dark and being more of a symbol, so he has to take steps to conceal his identity more.” Adding a mask also comes with logistical benefits, he said. In the second season, Oliver has found himself working much more closely with several people who don’t know his true identity — like Laurel’s father Det. Lance, for example — and it was getting harder and harder to believably hide Oliver’s face under the hood. “It’s going to allow the Arrow to interact with people who don’t know his identity in a much more organic way than having him constantly keep his head down,” says Kreisberg."

Might seem a little obvious if he grew a beard. Media: Celebrity Oliver Queen has decided to grow a beard. In other news, the vigilante now known as The Arrow has too, and it's the exact same colour and style.
Awesome. Now grow out the beard and mustache.
I like it. Makes him look more superhero-like. He'll look way better next to the new Batman and Superman if they do include him in the JL.
@vincethekid: If agents of fail is any indicator of how marvel will be owning, then your taste is exceedingly poor.
So have they ever explained how Ollie has his voice modulated ? It's just like a thing that happens and I have no idea where it comes from
The first time he confronts Laural and modulates his voice, it's shows him activating some handheld device. Don't know what it is or where he keeps it, but he DOES manually activate it when necessary.
@vincethekid: Lol, so much no. I assume you missed the announcements for The Flash, Hourmnan, GCPD, and Constantine all before Marvel announced it's Netflix shows? If anything, the Netflix show announcement was a response to that. And if Agents of 'we lost 34% of our audience by the second episode' is any indication of your prophesized Marvel TV ownage...you've got yourself quite a lot of disappointment coming.
Ever since Marvel announced that deal with Nexflix, Dc had to counter with something. Giving Arrow a mask is to combat the onslaught that Marvel is gonna bring. Iron Fist, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Drew, and a Defenders Tv show.
Yeah, Dc you better strap up.... Cause all you got is this show and Jim Gordon in the works. Marvel is gonna own you in the Tv entertainment side as well.
LOL what?
DC already has The Flash, Gotham, Constantine, Hourman and iZombie
All before Marvel's Netflix shows. DC has always been above Marvel in television, even more so since Agents of SHIELD isn't as good
I like the evolution and development of Oliver's character stages in his life, for he starts off as a survivor and a hunter who only has a singular goal and almost nothing else mattered, for you see that side of him when he puts on the eye paint and just being called the Vigilante, for he doesn't care what the rest of the world thinks of him only that the job gets done.
But now in this season, you see him trying to change his way's from being a vigilante to a hero, and you see him struggling with resisting his killer instincts, and you see more of him turning into a hero from not only being called The Arrow, or Arrow, and now would begins to wear a mask. To me he's going through 3 stages, the first stage is the survivor where he's not fully aware of his true potential, the second stage is where he starts to realize that he is capable of so much more and is in the process of recreating himself, and the third stage is where he fully embraces himself as a superhero, which I think is when he may become known as Green Arrow.
Something has been missing from his costume on the show. It was the mask! I can't believe I just now noticed that!

Because lord knows Agents of Shield is the epitome of TV quality.

I Agree having a Beard makes it even more obvious its fine the way it is now.
@cuddlebear: That happened a quarter through season one. Coming from someone named cuddle bear I would think twilight would be right up your alley.
@batpala: Suddenly? Dude was gone a year. You think someone as smart as Felicity couldn't learn weapons design? Not to mention she seems far less timid then season one and a little more bloodlusted.
@guardiandevil83: It was originally Diggle's role and now he's basically relegated to the side because Felicity's a fan favourite.
Too bad they couldn't make it like the current costume that incorporate goggle-like mask hood combo...one of earliest issues of this latest volume of JLA Ollie even says the mask and hood work together.
I like it.
They could probably incorporate night vision / thermals / etc into the mask at some point too. W
How? It doesn't even have covers over it?

Ha, I could just see the head sway back and forth when I read that.
