Origin Of The Green Arrow
Oliver Queen is double-crossed by a friend and left for dead as he is tossed off his own yacht and awakes to find himself stranded on an island that's not even on the map. He soon finds that the island is being used to cultivate mass amounts of opium and the natives are being enslaved to work in the fields by Hackett and China White. Oliver realizes there are some things worth fighting for and becomes the Green Arrow as he brings justice in his own way for the people of the island as he stops Hackett and China White and escapes from the island himself to start his new life as the Green Arrow.
A great origin story delivered by Andy Diggle and Jock about one of my favorite characters. The volume also contains an introduction by Brian K. Vaughhan(the Runaways, TV's Lost series.) The art is a little lackluster but has it's moments which is the only thing stopping me from giving this a perfect score. Don't let my opinion of the art stop you from reading though as this is a great story to read.
