    Review: Green Arrow #9 3

Etrigan the Demon and Jason Blood have separated and now Etrigan is destroying the forest! How can Green Arrow and friends stop a demon?  The Good This is going to come off a bit mean, but hear (read) me out.  This book is really weird when you compare it to the rest of the DC Universe. It doesn't really fit in to what is going on in the rest of the super-hero world. It's a bit refreshing. I've never been a huge fan of the world of magic in the DCU, but JT Krul grounds it well in this issue. Etr...

I Think Even Smokey The Bear Would Light A Match In This Forest 0

In this issue, Green Arrow is forced to deal with random things happening in his new magical forest. Again. Still. Seemingly forever?  It is hard to talk about this issue without simply rehashing critiques already made of this series. This issue in particular is really nothing but a prolonged action scene that continues from last issue and will presumably end next issue. And of course, it is all driven by the magical forest's ability to do anything the plot requires at the time. Nothing is reall...

    Green Arrow #9 2

As much as I love Green Arrow (he is one of my favorite characters) I didn't really like this issue. We had a pretty much pointless visit by Phantom Stranger. While it was action-packed, it didn't really feel like anything (substantial) happened, but it did leave me in anticipation of what was going to happen. It feels like they are dragging this out longer then necessary (probably to coincide with the ending of Brightest Day). So in short; it wasn't my favorite issue so far, and I really want t...

    So many missed opportunities. 0

Issue #9 of Green Arrow.  The Story: We get a quick summary of Etrigans backstory. Then Ollie,Galahad and Jason are fighting Etrigan but he gets a power up and be the end of it Galahad gets swalloed by a tree and Ollie is going to fight some bugs.  The Good: The action and the art are still spectacular and I will always commend it.Also I really like Galahads determination to protect the White Lantern tree and anything involving giant bugs and fire always excites me.  The Bad: Phantom Stranger's c...

    Forest Infected 0

Though this issue featured a solid art, interesting action sequences and a good pace, including the funny rhymes of Etrigan, I don´t believe this story is being told correctly or in a fashion that could make an importance to Green Arrow as a character - the truth is that the only fact that binds him to this forest is his decision to solitude (after what happened in the events of Rise and Fall of Arsenal) and his curious regarding Galahad (if he´s legit or not), not to mention that the fo...
