    Review: Green Arrow #6

    No Caption Provided
Oliver Queen has had enough and takes on The Queen, the current owner of "Queen Industries" and her assassin Nix, but does The Queen know something about Oliver's past that he wasn't aware of?

    The Good

Although the past couple issues have been so-so, this book gets right back on track with this issue. It takes a bit of a step back from the Robin Hood role Oliver has fallen into the past 6 months and focuses more on Oliver and his past. There's some great action as Oliver busts back into Queen Industries and faces both Nix and The Queen. I know DC has quite a few female assassin type characters, but I'm really liking Nix, even though it totally plays the cliche "silent, but deadly." It's great watching the fight scenes between Oliver and Nix. They are paced incredibly well. And while Queen doesn't mind having her mask removed, Nix seems to which makes me wonder if the person behind the mask is someone from Oliver's past. We find out Queen and Oliver's father had a bit of a fling going on in their past and that "fling" actually turned out to be something a lot more serious. This book is solid, storytelling wise, and raises a lot of questions for future issues.

    The Bad

Although I liked the art, at the same time, it's what makes the book suffer a bit. Character's faces become a tad distorted the tighter the panel gets on their face. I'm much more interested in the relationship between The Queen and Oliver Queen rather than the forest in Star City, but the story, in the next issue, will be jumping back to that.

    Not-So Great Jumping On Point

The last couple of issues may have lost me, but this issue was great fun. When the focus is more on Oliver, the book shines. I recommend the issue, but not to new readers. There's a lot of characters and stories all ready in motion and it may be hard for new readers to jump on. I say wait for the first trade of this series, if you're interested in the book, and buy that since overall, the first six issues are great.

This is my first Review so bear with me.  Summary: Ollie breaks into Queen Industries to have a one-on-one with Rochev (aka "The Queen"). He nearly loses control when he finds out about his father's secret life with her and is just  barely able to fight off her assassin, Nix, before he orders Rochev to pack up and leave his city. She reminds him that he is virtually powerless. He gets distracted when he finds his mother's ring around her neck and demands to know how she got it. She reveals to hi...

      Long Live The Queen 0

The Good: The cover is absolutely amazing. It feels like a high quality movie poster, and summarizes the entire issue in one amazing image without any spoilers. The art is still excellent, and the action is still amazing. The emotional aspect was there as well.  One of Green Arrow's expressions in particular really stuck out that showed the desperate defeat. And then the fact that once the battle is over we don't see Ollie's eyes again, either his face or eyeholes are always covered in shadows. ...
